Translated News Release: Activists from Animal Equalty have rescued six piglets from a factory farm. With no masks and in the full light of day, we gave a new life to these small creatures, who were facing horrible treatment, suffering and death. Their mothers sadly will never see the light of the sun, except when they are transported by truck to the slaughterhouse. They will never experience freedom. Kept in cages where they can't turn around they were never able to kiss their babies like any mother needs to do. Their babies were beside them but they couldn't enjoy the care of their mothers. They were sleeping on excrement covered concrete floor. They were covered in filth, some in poor health and others nearly dead. Although there were dozens more we could only rescue six, as we didn't have enough homes for more.

Once out of the farm on the way to their new home, the six babies were calm and even sleept peacefully. When they arrived at their new home they had their first taste of freedom. For the first time in their short lives, they were able to enjoy the light of the sun, walk through the grass and forget the concrete, dig holes and play without fear. Some of them were running from one place to another and turning around and around in circles, reveling in their happiness. This was the way they enjoyed their first afternoon of freedom - playing, jumping, sniffing everthing around.

These 6 piglets are now in a safe place far away from they former captors, the slaughterhouses and those who think of them as just products. Sadly, more than 37 millons pigs are bred, exploted and murdered to be eaten every year in Spain and most of them will never be rescued. Some days ago we rescued six. There are at least another 36,999,994 suffering (and also millons of other nonhuman animals like chikens, cows, fishes, etc). We can't help all of them, so we need your help. Only you can stop the breeding and killing of millons of animals whoose lifes end when their throats are cut in a slaughterhouse.

Varios activistas de Igualdad Animal / Animal Equality hemos rescatado a seis cerdos de una granja de explotación intensiva. A cara descubierta y a plena luz del día, pudimos dar una nueva vida a estas pequeñas criaturas a quienes les aguardaba sólamente el horror, privación, sufrimiento y muerte. Sus madres desgraciadamente nunca verán la luz del día, excepto cuando sean transportadas en un camión hacia el matadero. Nunca conocerán la libertad. Encerradas en jaulas de gestación en las que no pueden darse la vuelta, tampoco tienen la posibilidad de mimar a sus pequeños como querríamos hacer cualquier madre. Sus bebés permanecían a su lado aunque no podían disfrutar de su atención y cuidados. Dormían sobre el suelo de cemento y vivían entre excrementos y orines. Todos se encontraban sucios, algunos desnutridos y otros prácticamente agonizando. A pesar de que había varias decenas más, sólo pudimos sacar a seis para quienes ya teníamos preparado un hogar.

Una vez fuera de la granja y en su camino al hogar que les esperaba, los seis bebés se mostraban tranquilos e incluso durmieron tranquilamente. Al llegar a su nuevo hogar, todo han sido experiencias nuevas. Pudieron sentir la luz del sol por vez primera en su corta vida, pisar la hierba y dejar atrás el cemento, escarbar con su hocico entre la tierra y el barro, pudieron jugar sin temor. Varios de ellos corrían de un lado para otro y más de uno daba vueltas de lo que no podía ser descrito más que como una expresión de júbilo y alegría. Así pasaron su primera tarde en libertad, jugando unos con otros, saltando y olisqueando cualquier cosa que encontraban en su camino.

Estos seis cerdos se encuentran ahora en un lugar seguro lejos de sus explotadores, de los mataderos y de quienes les perciben como productos a consumir. Desgraciadamente más de 37 millones de cerdos son criados, explotados y asesinados cada año en España para consumo alimenticio y a la mayoría de ellos jamás irá nadie a rescatarlos. Hace unos días rescatamos a seis.. quedan al menos otros 36.999.994 cerdos más padeciendo de un modo inimaginable (además de incontables millones de otros animales no-humanos como gallinas, pollos, vacas, peces, etc.). Nosotros no podemos ayudarles a todos, por eso necesitamos tu ayuda. Sólo tú puedes evitar que nazcan y mueran millones de animales cuya vida acabe cuando un matarife les corte la garganta en algún matadero.
